Anyone,what does the Real in Salt Lake mean for the soccer team name?

I can't stand the names like DC United and Real Salt Lake that immitate euro names.But what in dickens does the Real in Salt Lake actually mean?Ya,I have seen the city of Salt Lake and the lake itself and it seemed like a real city and lake.Darn,I hope it wasn't a Hollywood movie set I saw or that I was in a drunken stuper and imagined that I saw it when it wasn't there.

Or does it mean that there is an imposter team that calls themself Salt Lake where the real team has to stress they indeed are the real team and not the imposters.

It comes from Real Madrid. Real in Spanish means "royal" and when the team was formed it was the king's favorite team hence they got the nickname Real=Royal.
