All the rain here ended up getting water into the Dog's shit trash can. So then the intense heat warmed it all up like a soup and all the shit liquified into a gel like ooze.

So rancid, closest I can remember to wanting to puke from a smell.

Back when I first started working for the city we all did everything. One day might be repairing a water leak the next you might be in the bucket truck changing out high voltage fuses. The city had it's own sanitation department as well and from time to time when one of the guys were on vacation or out sick some of us would fill in on the back of the truck.

There is maybe nothing that smells worse that week old chicken parts in 90+ degree weather.
