i once had 29 straight losing days in 2001..and 44 of 46 losing days back in 93...when it rains, it pours.. every day wasn't a question of if i'd lose.. but how much i'd lose.. and i kept losing.. once you lose your confidence, that's it.. you just pick loser after loser..
but believe me when i say this.. even though i never believed it at that time.. the streak will end.. i promise..and then you will do nothing but win win win.. it all evens out at the end..
the key though is this............keep playing ONLY weak #'s.... and....DO NOT RUN OUT OF MONEY..

for some reason, the losing streaks are always longer than the winning streaks. I've had 2 or 3 streaks of ten winning days in a row, but EVERY TIME i'd go on to lose the next 11 days in a row. EVERYTIME!Comment -

Do not run out of money really sums things up. The post by Nicky was one of the better ones I have ever read on the forums. It was short, to the point but very effective.
I try and ask myself daily "am I playing well?" Meaning am I making bets at good numbers, etc... That is all you can really do. You can't actually play the games yourself. Very rarely do I get mad at myself when I am losing because I am convinced that at the number I made the bet at I have an edge and if that is the case I am fine with things.
Bet small enough so you can bet another day and if there is one good thing to come out all of this is losing only 15% of your bankroll isn't too bad considering what the losing streak.
Personally speaking July has had many more losing days then winning ones for myself but I am still runing close to normal for what I hope to achieve monthly (2% ROI). Can't complain just a little more crappy days then normal but on the bright side not many really horrendous ones either.

it started so promising yesterday winning a game in Denmark and losing one in Sweden i was up $19.
the outcome was in doubt until my LAA +101 play lost. pricks. goes to show sometimes even beating the market can't help. and yes, i didn't beat the market, only played LAA +101 for action before the pitching change.

i have been through maybe 47 bad streaks like this in my 25 yrs of gambling.. and let me tell you...... boy, it is not fun at all.. you sleep like shit.. you are stressed all day.. you hate waking up in the morning.. you get anxious for the night games to start.. you are in a bad mood constantly. when it's sunny outside, you see cloudy.. you don't want to do anything.. you dont want to go out. you dont want to eat in a restaurant, you don't want to shop or spend money. you dont want to go out with friends. you hate everything and you are just plain miserable. Food tastes bad, you have no appetite. you don't smile often.. you're anti social...you hate life..
you just want to stay home and be depressed.
the life of a gambler is not easy at all. especially when you are losing this bad.. and we all will at one pt in our lives..

maybe cause i dropped my bets 3 days ago and yesterday it was full batten down the hatches mode. my soccer plays were for my normal amount, but the baseball plays i made yesterday were one quarter of one percent of my BR. damn right, i still got action going, but until this shit straightens itself out, there will be no raising of betting limits on my part. the longer we gamble the longer and more pronounced the winning and losing streaks should become. well i don't know when this one will end, but it will end. and when it does i will go full frontal attack on these fukkin books.
Nicky i once lost 22 consecutive bets in the NFL, including losing a teaser where there 12 games and 23 of the 24 covered the tease. i picked the one that didn't. ended that streak by betting every dog the next week for $10 each.
nothing new with this streak, and i will hang in and battle through. just glad i can come to SBR and piss and moan like a loser fuk.
