how much would you say is a fair amount to bet on these future plays.

1 percent each play higher lower.

he told me if it is your first season doing this use 1% of your bankroll per bet

Don't bet just because I did. Do your own work, figure out your own edge.

Once you do that, 1% is a good starting point (but 1% will quickly become more than limits for most futures and props).
