Australia seems like a backwards Country, I do not think I would like it.

I cannot get into those sports either other than horses

I know a girl from their and she still wears those stripped shirts and wide cuff pants from the 70's.

It's the greatest sport ever and I don't see why it wouldn't appeal to americans?? Fast paced, lots of scoring, hard hits - what's not to like?
I play it here in Denmark and I was hooked from the get go when I started 5 years ago.

I'm sorry bud but no one here likes it at all, we are all fixated on american football and basketball and for an older generation baseball. Thats it here nothing else matters.

Maybe if there were some overpaid divas in the sport it might appeal dunno

Hahaha yeah I know what you mean. I love football and basketball as well and that includes college ball.
It's not that they have to turn their back on the classic sports, but it runs from march to september or so and that fits perfect with the nfl kicking off again.
Aussie rules players get paid but it's no where near other big sports. That's why the guys that can kick the hell out of the ball try their luck in the NFL

USA actually have a pretty good national team and as far as i know there's a lot of clubs over there, so it's just a matter of time

Part of the reason why Americans will never get into it is lack of information on sport and of course time zone issues.

I advise anyone living in Australia to get out
