Saw a guy on ESPN yesterday ripping Tebow a new one like he thought there were guys you never heard of from Division 2 schools that have a much better chance of making it in the NFL.It all started over Tebow giving the impression that his holdout is stupid but that it's all up to his agent though as to when and what to sign.Hell, the agent knows he better get a decent signing bonus and some kind of guaranteed salary for a couple years anyway.
Does anyone have a premonition about Tebow's entire career collecting a paycheck in any form of pro football?
Here's mine.He pretty much sits on the bench all year for the Broncos. They do some slash stunts with him like running some kind of a wildcat with him.Maybe on occassion letting him play runningback too.Maybe sparingly playing him at QB when they are blowing someone out.
Next year they do the same thing where maybe they play him a little more at QB where he plays when they are getting blown out too and plays 2nd string a bit.He gets in a couple games due to injury and looks awful.
3rd year,he gets cut by Broncos in training camp.He latches on to a couple teams and gets cut during the course of the season.
4th year,he goes to someone's training camp and gets cut.He retires.
Could or would he play in the CFL or Arena football if he knows there is no real chance to get back into the NFL?As of right now,do all the QB's in the CFL including backups and 3rd stringers have a better arm than Tebow?
I'm not sure how smart he is where he can make much money doing anything else besides football. The mission work he does would cost him money unless some non profit makes him some vice president and pays him 200k a year???Could he get into national broadcasting of some sort? He's kind of got a lisp and is a little dopey?Does he go back to Florida around the U.and get set up in some corporate job where he just entertains some companies clients taking them out to golf for 200 k a year?
All I can say is,he better take his signing bonus and first 2 years of his salary and figure it could be his only and last big payday and that he should be giddy and euphoric over getting that.
