The p-value(p*) is the two-tailed significance levelWK associated with that particular z-score. This is an approximation of the likelihood of the data set having producing the observed results given an historical cover rate of p*. A slightly more accurate approximation could have been obtained using a t-testWK, and better still by using the binomial distributionWK directly.
