    Tiger woods is done
I hope you didn't go overboard on Woods in the open. It happened like I thought "he sucks" now. Hasn't won a major in two years, played like shit in the
British Open, he shouldn't be #1 anymore. Lee Westwood is the best on tour right now, guy can play on anything. Didn't know Mickelson was bad on links when I bet him, but that's okay, he shouldn't be #1 either. WOODS needs to retire while he can still save some face.

WOODS will win more majors after the age of 40 than your boy Westwood will in his career.

wow. not a fan of golf i assume or know the game at all.

do you understand how thin the margin is that separates the #1 golfer in the world from the #111? go back and check the winners of Majors the last 10 years and tell me where each one of those guys is now.

Tiger is still a great golfer, but i used this argument to prove why he will not break the Record. too many great golfers. just takes one guy playing the best golf of his life for four days. The Open proved it again. He won by 7 strokes, no one was going to beat him over this 4 day span of his life.

I think Tiger has gone mental. Nothing screws up talent faster. It will be interesting to see if he can sort out his problems and get his mind back on golf. If so, the wins will return.

I'm not so sure FH. Westwood COULD go on a run. He's a really talented player and consistently on the cusp of these majors. That said, I think the OP is way out over his skis. Give Woods some time to settle into his new life. I'm not sure we will see another run like the Tiger-Slam but he will put it back together and win multiples in the future.

Hey fishead I didn't say he's my favorite, I just used him as an example, I've always been a tiger fan, but he's just no there anymore.

these guys all won Majors, and look at them now (World Ranking)

Vijay (72), Weir (79), Shaun Micheel (132), Davey Duval (166), Trevor Immelman (221), Dickey Beem (380), Todd Hamilton (448) and Mikey Campbell (830).

any guy can get hot at just the right time and win a fukkin Major. it should make Tiger's 14 all the more impressive.

tiger played good golf, not good enough to win but he could have placed higher. His putting was the problem, that part of his game was completely off.

He needs to get the divorce over with and start going out at night again.

This "nice guy" Tiger isn't going to win many tourneys.

I agree with some of the other people. Give him a year, time to get the divorce settled, and he'll be back. He's at least going to win a few more majors. With all the shit he has going on outside of the golf course, I think he's doing a hell of a job finishing where he is. Still not many golfers putting in top 10's/20's in all of the majors

Golf is a tough tough game to be razor sharp every tourney. Tiger has a great short game. He may not win a major for a while but he will win another before he hangs em up. And if he won no more he would still be in the company of Hogan and Palmer and close to Jack.

He had won the last two Opens that were held at St. Andrews. Even with the state he is in I would have put my money on him, way before most of the other guys.

It's only because of how good he has been that people are writing him off now. Tiger has now played in 7 majors since winning one (coming back from knee surgery and having his personal issues during this time).

                                        In those 7 majors he finished 6th, 6th, Cut, 2nd, 4th, 4th, and 23rd.

                                        After his first win at the masters in 1997, he went 10 majors without winning one before the 1999 PGA. Finishing 19th, 24th, 29th, 8th, 18th, 3rd, 10th, 18th, 3rd and 7th.

                                        After winning 7 of the next 11 starting with the 1999 PGA, he again went over 2.5 years and 10 majors without winning another, finishing 28th, 2nd, 15th, 20th, 4th, 39th, 22nd, 17th, 9th, and 24th.

Then starting with a win at the 2005 masters he started an incredible run where he won 6 out 14 majors and finished 2nd 4 times, 3rd once, 4th once, 12th once, with one missed cut (after his father died before the US open in 2006.

He missed the next 2 majors with the knee injury coming back for all 4 last year and 3 so far this year.

This doesn't even look like the biggest slump of his career so far, let alone being done. Golf is like that. He'll be back winning majors soon enough.
