There is lots of racism and hooliganism in the European stadiums. Do you Americans see any similarities at a baseball game ? Is there such a thing as a baseball hooligans ? I'm curious.

#3No comparison at all man. It's true, in Europe you see a lot of racism, specially in some parts of Italy, Spain and fewer places in England, most of it though is directed to black fellahs. In the US, they cannot do that because the main racism problem is against Latinos, and they are the ones that basically keep the sport going, this, in the example of Baseball. Not that you will not see it but if it happens, lemme tell you, that person has serious problems since it's preaching hate towards the ones that keep his/her favourite sport running.Originally posted by TR88

#6You would be hard pressed to find one display of overt, coordinated racism by fans in any US professional/collegiate sporting event in the last 40 years.
Laughable. Show me one example ever of racism shown towards Latinos in Baseball in the last 40 years. In the US, they cannot do that because the main racism problem is against Latinos, and they are the ones that basically keep the sport going, this, in the example of Baseball. Not that you will not see it but if it happens, lemme tell you, that person has serious problems since it's preaching hate towards the ones that keep his/her favourite sport running.
How are they "keeping the sport going"? Like their aren't thousands of qualified white players around the US throughout college and minor leagues who could take the place of Latinos?
Latinos would be sitting in their third world shitholes and not being paid millions if not for the US; it's laughable you honestly think that WE owe you..Comment -

#7In the U.S., it isn't as bad, definitely not in sports. The only thing most people have to deal with nowadays are closet racists, racists behind the computer screen, but probably claim to have a 'black friend'. Nothing compared to Europe.Originally posted by Sunde91Latinos would be sitting in their third world shitholes and not being paid millions if not for the US; it's laughable you honestly think that WE owe you..
Exhibit A-Sunde91, would never in his right mind say something like this in front of latinos.
Now let's all wait and hear how he's going to tell us that he has minority friends and in fact does tell Latinos that if it weren't for America, they would be nothing but poor third worlders...to their face.

#8This "documentary" is a little slanted to say the least. You do get these so called soccer hooligans at the games, but they usually account for a very small percentage of fans, if they're even there at all.Comment -

#9I also love how ESPN, typical leftist media, tries to paint the view that Europe is filled with racist right wing extremists. The truth is, the vast majority of Europe is insanely leftist and tolerant and this never happens.
Love the Paki anti-racist activist from UK saying how much of a "reality" racism is in all of Europe. He probably knows that if people were really racist, there wouldn't be millions of Paki Muslims livin large in the UK, like him.Comment -

Umm, if it were warranted and relevant, like it is here, why not
If someone says something like US baseball depends on Latinos and that stupid gringos owe them, of course I would.
If such a conversation even happened, it would be more light-hearted anyway and not a big deal. People don't go out of their way unprovoked to say either side of that in a confrontational manner, unless you're some psycho or tough guy; just doesn't happen.Comment -

#18I remember when I went to a game in Barcelona the crowd would make monkey sounds when the black players would gain control of the ball. The US crowds are really weak in soccer, you go to a game in Europe or Brazil and you'll see craziness. In Brazil they use flares in the crowd to the point you can't see from the smoke..lolComment -

#22Sir, may I ask you if you even read what I wrote? I said it's not compared at all, in Europe it happens, in the US, it does not happen, please, check what I wrote again and thanks for letting me know you do have a problem against the ones like me, and sir, I kindly ask you to please refrain yourself of calling Latin America in general a shit hole, we may not be the richest ones but we're doing a good effort to keep ourselves on the fight.Originally posted by Sunde91You would be hard pressed to find one display of overt, coordinated racism by fans in any US professional/collegiate sporting event in the last 40 years.
