Maybe if you have a big lead early you bet 1 unit on the last picks. It's just strategy. Do what you think will get you thru the next round.

You can only bet a game once. So if you pick the Yankees for 1 unit, you won't be able to add another 2 units onto it. You only have the opportunity once to designate a pick as from 1 to 3 units.

You must make 14 individual picks per round. The benefit in assigning higher units to picks you feel more strongly in is depending on if it's a favorite or underdog, your record improves that many more units. Each round is graded by which opponent netted more units after making the required 14 picks.

Note that even if you are positive units and your opponent negative, if you do not make the required 14 picks you will be disqualified.
