Life starts to pass most folks by when they begin their working lives as adults.

                About 45

I sometimes wish I was married but then I think of all the negatives

Well still better off single in today's economy

In my opinion, a man is always better off as a bachelor. It's simply the way we are.

You try to get a grip on things but its virtually impossible...

Variable. It's all about attitude. Keep looking forward, learning, and experiencing new things and you'll be good for a long time.

Also, a wife or girlfriend 10+ years younger than you helps a lot

I am 34, about to turn 35. Looking back, and knowing what I know now, I would say that life passed me by when I was about 30 or 31.

I'm going to have to say its at a fairly young age. If you dont start your life off with your future in mind... you're screwed. People say it's never to late to do this and that, but when it comes to certain things (ex: sports) it is too late. I agree mostly with GonzosDirtyTrail tho, once you step out in life as an adult and stop living off of mommy and daddy, things start hitting hard.
