If anyone wonders whether it's a good idea to have children or not based on their effect on the world, it depends how likely they are to be productive. It's rational to want people who are smart or have high emotional intelligence, but especially both, to have children. We shouldn't want people on the opposite spectrum to have them.

I strongly favor government intervention on the subject. Studies show that people with children are no happier than people without, so there's no rational reason to think that people should be entitled to have children. Also, children aren't property.

I agree with this post 100%.

At the same time though they can be the most frustrating things one can ever experience.

Children are the best and the worst rolled into one.

This. I do not have kids, but I have worked with kids on a daily basis for the last 3 years. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages in the long run.

100% agree. fetal alcohol syndrome...attention deficit disorder ain't pretty things to see in kids. woman who pump out kids just to get more cash need their ovaries removed.
