Last month Ted Strickland was begging, pleading and serenading Lebron, while his state (Ohio) is slated to go bankrupt. Then this week Charlie Crist is in a flat out worship fest of Lebron James. who cares? there's nothing you can do about the state of our economy, so why not enjoy the lives that we have? if that means grabbing a 6 pack and parking our ass on the couch and watching sports, then so be it. why bitch about something that you can't control? does it make you feel more important or something?

in reality, even if our country is bankrupt, even if it's going to end in december, 2012, you can't do anything about it, so why waste your time focusing on something that is just going to cause you stress? it doesn't matter. i enjoy sports. i enjoy life. i'm not going to worry about the "what-if's" in life. it's a waste of my time.

I have similar frustrations. Watch a documentary (currently playing on HBO) called Schmatta: From Rags to Riches to Rags. It's a pretty good insight into American industry. It's about the rise and fall of the garment district in NYC.
