It's kind of black Reebok's ( new ) or I ain't going.

I'm not a shoe guy.

The SBR/ RX polo shirt is formal for me.

The SBR Tony Bahama shirt is my burial shirt.

In other words I don't dress up.

New sneakers, long slacks, and a dressy shirt is the limit for me. No tie or jacket either ! I quit the jacket, tie, and shoes after the last wedding.

sneakers, slacks , dress shirt....is the dressiest I'll do.

Don't like it.....don't invite me to your wedding/ funeral/ etc.

I can't/ won't wear dress shoes

why cant you do dress shoes? They are not uncomfortable, a nice pair is probably more comfortable for me than sneakers

I used to own a pair of dress shoes that hurt my feet but those were like $1 worth of shoes, what kind of cheap a$$ shoes you got doug?

last pair was "Deer Stags".

I threw them in the Goodwill box after wearing them twice ( both weddings, one my own). I'm done with dress shoes. I wear sneakers only for the rest of my life, maybe boat shoes on occasion....I can tolerate those.

I can't foresee ever having to dress up again in my life, except if my 85 ish uncle dies before I move out of Ct, then I'd have to go the funeral ( if still here). Beyond that, I'm with Fishhead.

This is more of an informal reception. Many will not wear a jacket and tie ( even the Groom).

The actual wedding was like 6 months ago ( just learned this 2 days ago) so more of a reception party.

I was hobbled at the church by my shoes at the last wedding, and changed into my sneakers for the reception ( had them in my truck).

I don't dress up well.

I will shave completely . I usually do an electric trimmer about twice a week.

That's me.....if you don't like it, don't invite me ( PLEASE) !

last wedding some guy showed up in jeans, T-shirt,windbreaker, sneakers and a NYY cap at church. A few others not much better dressed than that, and this guy was like 55+.

No church here, just the reception. Groom will be dressed much like me ( no jacket/tie), but I'm sure shoes. He doesn't even want to go. This is at 7pm if it makes any difference.

yes, it is not a reception after a Church wedding, plus it is in a heat wave in Ct.

I'm not trying to wear shorts, T-shirt and sandals, more like dress pants and shirt with brand new sneakers. I just hate shoes !
