Last night, going into the basement to get something, glass of ginger ale in one hand. Landed on one leg six stairs down. The stairs are narrow, I'm sure if I wasn't holding the glass of ginger ale this wouldn't have happened. I could have braced myself with my hands on each side of the wall one or two stairs into the tumble. Didn't have much time to think but initial impulse must be to not drop the glass eh. 
Went to the clinic today. Diagnosis: hyperextended knee. Doc says to wear a tensor and to take it easy. He asked me to rate my pain on a scale of 1 to 10. I said 8 and hello pain meds! I lied, it's prolly a 4.
Decided to get some exercise walking in the shopping mall today. Was moving along at a gimp's pace when this chick selling beauty products from a stand shoved something in front of me and said, "lotion", then smiled. She wasn't trying to sell me it, she was making a move. Bit of small talk, she said she will be in the same spot at the mall for a couple weeks. I will go back to see her. Without the bum knee, I'm a fast walker. She wouldn't have had time to do what she did. If this pans out, I can thank the bum knee.
The indentation beside the kneecap shouldn't be that wide. Doctor said the kneecap is in place but it appears to have shifted. Slight concern there. If you look closely my old soccer scar is visible.
