I heard that a company in Vegas creates the lines for all games.
Is this true?

Not really.
LVSC is assumed to set most opening lines (and used to), but Cris/Greek/Pinnacle generally open the markets and differ from LVSC quite a bit sometimes. Everyone else (including the vegas books) just copy those #'s after they've settled.
Aren't you a pro? You don't bet early #'s at cris?

I wouldn't gamble full time either if I made a living hitting 75% for so many years like you. I'd just be playing for fun and taking vacations every month of the year.

LVSC is not allowed to do business with offshore gambling companies according the Nevada Gaming Control Commission. They did use to serve as the principle oddsmaking group for several prominent offshore books before that law took effect (Greek, BoDog, etc...)
That being the case, I have a hard time believing that the offhshores and LVSV have fully severed ties....
However, IMO (and as indicated above) it is the books themselves that decides what the number actually is regardless of what the LVSC number is.

John Layfield sets the line after consulting with the MGM people. Then he bets into the line to move it again so then he can educate people on what his bet is. If it's wrong they just change the line until his bet is graded as a winner.
I miss his educational seminars but I guess he can't find his threads since they've been moved to the private zone. I need a good laugh after my losing weekend.
