Any Jersey Shore vacationers here? Anyone ever go to Stone Harbor,NJ?
27 exits from Atlantic City and the best beach that I've seen along the Atlantic Ocean---great place to go---I know Darkhorse knows about it....anyone else ever go there? If not....consider it....very nice

It's Beautiful it's where the very wealthy Philadelphia western suburbs (Bryn Mawr,Wynnewood,Villanova,Rosemount,Havef ord) spend their summers
Can't best the Stone Harbor Yacht Club on a Friday night for rich drunk heiress

nice...you've got it down to a tee.I live in Jersey but am from New York---I could never find a NY license plate there. It's crazy how these multimillion dollar summer houses just sit there in the winter and fall---empty.It boggles my mind.I'd be there on a regular basis if I was a "rich Philadelphian from the burbs".---not to mention --you're a hop skip and a jump away from Atlantic City.

people are protesting because they want to build a mosque near there.I was there 9/29/01 after a Yankees game(I snuck through some barriors along the side near China Town and City Hall( It reminded me of playing baseball--I could taste the grit of the dirt and residue in the air--machines were taking out debris).I went in 2006---just a big empty spot--prospect of building a memorial)---I haven't been there since. They've found bone fragments on nearby buildings to this day.I thought that they were in the process of rebuilding.(Sucks --my friend was a fireman--in the lobby--and was found 4 levels below ground -dead--5 months after the disaster---hopefully building continues and put something back up there even though there's a prospect of future attacks

I go to Lavallette every year as well since I was born. Older cousins own a house on Kerr Ave., but we usually rent a house on West Point Island. I've slowed down since I'm married, but may go down or at the very least stay in the Island Beach Motor Lodge for a few days of surf fishing once the busy season is over.
I never really stayed in the Stone Harbor/Avalon area.

I've seen the show on MTV. I'd never want to hang around those kind of people.

It's hard for me to comprehend people going on vacation to go to a beach. I have one outside my door and all over this town. I guess it's a big deal if you aren't near one.

Never heard of it
Too hit for the beach and all it does is cause grief
I hate getting sand in my fukkin toe nails, cock, seaweed stuck to my fukkin ears and jellfish bites on my ass

Went to SH every summer growing up - the Jersey Shore obviously has received a terrible reputation lately, but mid and south jersey are quite nice. At least at SH, The beaches are quite pristine - no boardwalk, no hotel build up, just preserved dunes. Everything is pretty much within walking distance as well.

That is North Jersey. Once you get closer to Philly, I think this demographic tends to thin out.
