I just read; Laying the Favorite: a Memoir of Gambling :O
The book written by Beth Raymer, idk if it's already been discussed.
But I'm sure alot of you would appreciate it(maybe it would get more love @ therx)

I know people linked to the article in the Wall Street Journal/NY Post.
But neither article mentioned how indepth she talked about ASAP(Playasap.com) as a manager, living in San José, eventually going broke and having to tell people they couldnt pay them off, all the way up to get a bail out by the Cris Group

Some great stories within the book:
-Some woman calls up claiming her husband had a gambling problem(lost 36k going 0-14-0 in his picks ) and having to tell the woman to **** off.
-All the way to how she had to tell people she couldnt pay them off when ASAP went busto(claiming some guy skimmed ALL the money off the top)

Anyways I'm sure you'd all love to read the book so go out and support your local Barnes and Nobles. Book only cost $27(I assume 20% of you have at least $27)

    Enjoy

Maybe it was her perception of what happened versus reality
