As an English guy i should be not bothered by 4th July celebrations at all but fuk it. Who would have thought fireworks are illegal in California!! 
Everyone is getting them on the sly, we have mortars, artillery shot and all sorts all bought dirt cheap off some guy.
I bought a half oz of weed for $80, that is so cheap even with the exchange rate.
The weather is amazing, the people love football here....Brit Arms in Aptos is the place to be at 6:30 am pst for wc games and i have found football is thriving here.
I love this country, been here two weeks and still not bored, sick of it, repulsed etc.
Can't wait to get to the bash, see some people from last year and meet new people.
