#42damn the under would been a solid play, chestnut basically slowed up once he realized he was out to a huge lead.
great event, its like the superbowl, stanley cup, world series, and nba finals all rolled into one.Comment -

#45Joey (Jaws) Chestnut raced to his fourth consecutive hot dog eating championship Sunday, but a stunt by a former winner failed to cut the mustard with cops.
Chestnut finished the Nathan's Famous contest on Coney Island 11 dogs ahead of his nearest competitor. Key rival Takeru (The Tsunami) Kobayashi was forced to watch from the crowd as a contract dispute kept him from competing.
After the contest, Kobayashi tried to rush the stage, was busted by police and was led away in cuffs.
While Chestnut's performance was enough to win, it was far from his record-setting performance in 2009 when he inhaled an astounding 68 hot dogs in just 10 minutes.
"I was slower than I wanted to," he said, blaming dehydration in the staggering mid-90s heat.
Kobayashi, 26, is widely viewed as having reinvented the sport in 2000 by shattering the then-world record with 50. Last year he came in second with 64.Comment -

#47Believe it or not...Kobiyashi isn't eating because he didn't sign a contract with the Competitive Eating Group the rest of the eaters are part of...he wanted to participate in other "eating" events. He was actually arrested after the contest today when he jumped on stage and was led off in cuffs.Comment -
