Is BP getting fined any amount daily for oil spill?
Hey does anyone know if BP is getting fined a specific amount daily for this disastrious oil spill?

Also, I read about a week ago that BP's CEO Tony Hayward decided to go yachting with his son during a day off..

Is this guy serious..It's like he is living in another world...What a piece of crap..

Has Hayward come back to the states to face the music again?

They will end up paying fines of $40,000 per barrel spilled based on analyst estimates. That's why they are slow to estimate how much oil per day is leaking. They were saying around 5,000 barrels per day when more accurate numbers are 100,000. At 100,000 barrels BP may owe over $280 billion in fines and penalty's by the time they get the relief wells in place. Upward estimates are around $400 billion. BP has over $120billion in cash and make about 30 billion a year so they could pay off a hefty fine in a few years in any case.

But the people on the Gulf need that company to stay intact. BP stations are some of the busiest there I have seen.

Shell much safer and better gas anyway. I hope BP goes out of business so that others that do it better can come in. BP doesn't really care about Americans.
