I'm waiting for the cars to fill up with carbon monoxide and eliminate these thieves on the spot, even though this show is entrapment, IMO.

poor bastards, they always see the cops leave though which is stupid, i could understand their actions better if they had not just seen someone get arrested, thats where it gets to good to be true.

I don't consider it entrapment. It would be different if a cop was hanging out there undercover and he was like... "Hey Holmes... let's steal that car." They're not being persuaded by the police to steal the car like when they do drug or prostitution(these aren't even real crimes. Where's the victim?) stings. They just leave the car there. I don't see how that's entrapment. This is one of the best shows ever. They need more shows like this!

It's a waste of taxpayer money. Its not much different than going down to the hood and putting 5 hundred dollar bills on the dashboard of an unlocked car. Hell even I would be tempted to steal it. All the crime that goes on in this country and the police resort to this. I thought the jails were all ready chalk full and we tempt people to incarcerate even more.

I agree this is a good comparison. Cops shouldn't be posing as Hookers selling dope or baiting cars. They will get these guys soon enough.

Latrelle wouldn't have stole THAT car if it wasn't there with the keys in it, maybe he'd wait until Thursday to boost a car....so get him then.

You've got to be kidding me. Please tell me this is a sarcastic post. I could name 5 million things that are a bigger waste of taxpayer's money. What do you consider a good use of Tax Payer's money? If you don't consider Grand Theft Auto a real crime than what do you consider a real crime? The reason why the jails and prisons are overflowing is because half of the people are in there on drug charges. If they legalized drugs you could free up the prisons and greatly decrease the gang population.

So...you would steal $500 on the dashboard of unlocked car? I'm glad you don't live in my neighborhood. How can you justify taking something that you know that isn't yours? I hope a new shows starts with that exact theme. Some low-life criminal attempts to steal $500 that isn't theirs and then they get tazed on the spot and then go to jail. That would be even better than Bait Car!

How can you compare Hookers and Dope to Grand Theft Auto? 1 of these is a real crime. THEFT!!! The other 2 are only in place to satisfy the religious nut jobs that are still in office. Hookers... dope.... where's the crime? There is none. Just saying it's a crime doesn't make it one. If Big Mac's were illegal(and they might be someday at the rate we are heading) would you truly believe eating a Big Mac was a crime? Question authority. Question everything.

First of all I said I would be tempted. Personally I would never do it because it would bring me to much bad kharma. If this is what cops resort to doing to imprison people it's kinda of like shooting fish in a barrel. If every police department in the country did this you would have to build 5 times the prisons we have now. How about getting some politicians that know how to make things better for people so they don't have to steal cars.

You still don't want dealers and Hos hanging out in front of your home or business, though. ( NIMBY). Maybe we need some special zoning laws ?

Exactly, if it was legal there would be regulations. There would be no Ho's and Dealers hanging out in front of your home or business because nobody would buy from them. The reason why you see that now is because it's ILLEGAL. How often do you see someone selling Cigarettes or Alcohol on the streets? It's very rare. The reason why is because these things are legal. If Drugs and Ho's were legal and you could buy them from a business with a license there would be none on the streets. If Big Mac's ever become illegal I can assure you that people will be selling them on the black market. As of right now, I don't think anyone is trying to sell a Big Mac on Craigslist.

It truly amazes me how much today's politicians have changed things since the founding father's ran things. I think the founding father's would be shocked and disturbed by our current government.

I grew up in a low income all white neighborhood. I'm quite certain they still exist.

They are poor and desperate, but not poor and desperate enough to get a job. John Stossel once offered work to several people who were holding signs that said "Will Work For Food." He even gave them bus tokens so they could get to and from the place where they were going to work. The job was mowing lawns by the way. Only 1 of the people showed up. The people stealing the cars are lazy criminals that want something for nothing. I feel no pity for them at all. There should be Bait Cars in every major city in the world. Grand Theft Auto would drop to an all time low. How would you feel if someone stole your car?
