Had a good trip to Maine yesterday
Went up to Old Orchard Beach. Wish I had my camera - would have been a lot of good sights to capture.

Hung out on the pier. Lobster and Shipyard beer. Could have stayed all night.

Anyone else have plans for a good beach trip this summer?

This place had a hot dog and coke combo for just a dollar. Smallest hot dog and coke you could imagine, but well worth it. Guy said they've had the special for 30 years and I'd believe it.

Perkins Cove is a nice area there, Manaconda. I go there almost every summer at some point - it's more 'upscale' than OOB where I was yesterday.

I like walking on the Marginal Way in Ogunquit - won't find anything else like that beach anywhere. Barnacle Billy's is a good place to eat when I'm ready to chow down after a lot of walking and time on the beach.

Seconded. Though I haven't been there in almost 20 years, the Marginal Way and Ogunquit are awesome!

Reload, you can't drive to the beach from my house, you have to walk to it. I take it for granted that I live in a beach town. Beaches all over the area. It's nice weather 365 days a year.

That's some story, Manaconda. I've never eaten in the fancier joint next door but intend on trying it sometime. I guess Bush, Sr. must still be vacationing in Kennebunk.

Yeah, you've got to love the variety in a state like Maine, Sukka. Beaches, skiing, golf - lots to do depending on the time of year.
