Americans and Europeans alike that talk shit about the sports of another country are the lowest common denominator from said countries. Amercians that don't have a broader view of the world are just plain stupid and naive. Do the words knacker, tinker, hooligans, etc. Any of these ringing true? Individuals who excel at any given sport are great at what they do and deserve a certain amount of accolades and respect. More Americans watched the USA/England game then watched the NBA finals or the NHL championship games that same weekend.

Also, the USA/Algeria game garnered the most viewers of any sporting event in internet history.

Futball is very classy. People fall on the ground, and lay there so they can waste time off the clock. Once they are carried off the field, they just to their seat. I do enjoy futball, but that crap just drives me crazy.

It's funny I have lived in the US my whole life. Grew up playing football (american), baseball and soccer and before you start talking shit I played all 3 in high school, not when I was 6.

All these sports, as well as other sports, have their strong points and their weak points. All these sports have a certain skill set, some are transferrable to the other sport and some aren't. The reality is this is more about environment then anything. It is almost all dictated by where you are born, what your parents are into, affluency, etc.

To just throw out blanket statements like so many of you are doing is so completely close minded it ridiculous. If you think an american football player could step on a soccer pitch when he's never played and look anything but silly and gassed in the first 4 minutes then you really are naive. On the flip side if you think a international soccer star could step on a US football field if he's never played the game and look anything but silly, scared and getting run over in the first 4 minutes you are equally naive.

Get a clue, all these sports including tennis, rugby, gaelic football, etc. are take certain skill sets some are more transferrable to other sports than others but all these players are good/great at what they do PERIOD!!!!
