USA was 60/40 better in the Ghana game. Ghana got 2 chances and hit them both. USA got 5-6 chances and hit 1. all comes down to luck unless you are a top 3 superpower (brazil, spain, argentina)Comment -

The announcers for the game were sooooo biased towards USA that it was
ridiculous....there should have been some impartiality.....

USA is a top 10 team no doubt about it. they played 4 world cup games and havent lost one in regulation. they outplayed and outchanced Ghana but Ghana hit both of their only chances. Are you kidding me? The US is nowhere close to being in the top 10. They were fortunate to advance out of the worst group in this world cup. I can name 6 or 7 teams that didn't advance out of their group that could beat the US with ease

sorry pal in the last FIFA updated rankings they are 14 in the world. after an update they will be about 10. and thats with all the teams plus the ones that didnt make the world cup. its funny to me that people say "they got lucky to get out of the group" cause they got robbed of a win vs slovakia and had numerous chances against algeria before breaking thru. they should have beaten algeria 3-0 or 4-1. truth is they would have been extremely unlucky to not get out of the group. almost as unlucky as they got when Ghana hits gold on both of their chances and the USA has 5-7 chances and only scores once. thats the luck.........tell me is beating spain last year and then losing to brazil 3-2 in the final luck? not at all. What the US proved is what most of us already knew: we're a top 20 team. Not a top 10, but not (as we've been forever) a sub-30 squad, either. Considering there are hundreds of nations fielding soccer teams, "top 20" is waaaaayyyy above the median. We even proved we were above the median of teams that qualified for the WC.
Not that you know what median means, then, obv.
This summer, and last at the Confed Cup, we proved that we can beat anyone.
We lost today because the team was too emotionally and physically drained from the previous games, which they were because they'd been forced, by bad calls, to put too much into getting out of the group. Ghana, otoh, didn't even have to win it's last game.Comment -
