No, he most likely took 'roids....probably on the list where A-Rod was the only player to be leaked.

I wanna say yes right away
BUT
the times are changing.... over the next 20 years we will have 50 guys retire with #'s like Thome's....
we have quite a few now, but most are connected with Roids... but we are gonna have a glut of guys with numbers like Delgado, bagwell, Palmiero, Sheffield, Sosa, Arod, Manny, Frank thomas, chipper jones, ect ect.... Not ALL these guys can get in, so it will be interesting to see who has to wait till the vets committee selects them to get in

If you had a 50 home run season you are probably linked to Roids in the Roids Era. Thome fits the bill. Name one 50+ home run hitter other than Griffey not linked to Roids. Look at it this way. George Foster 52 homers in the 70's, Cecil Fielder early early 90's, and then all hell breaks loose.

Anyone known as a homerun threat during that era that was not accused of steroids is a hall of famer in my book.

No. The #'s say yes but I don't think he's Hall of Frame material. How many rings does he have?

I would say yes. They can be tough though getting people in. I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't get in on the first try.
