But there are even more downright criminal activities taking place right now. According to a government panel, new calculations suggest that "an amount equivalent to the*Exxon Valdez*disaster could be flowing into the Gulf of Mexico every 8 to 10 days," the*New York Times*reported on June 10.
In addition, the CNN video above discusses the health problems suffered by the clean-up workers, and the fact that BP is strongly discouraging any type of protective gear, such as respirators and even rubber gloves! In the video, Kerry Kennedy mentions that the average age at the time of death of workers who cleaned up after the 1989 Exxon Valdez spill was 51!
Today, all those clean-up workers are DEAD!
Seems BP is far more worried about their PR,*buying up search terms on Google*and other search engines, than protecting the health and welfare of their clean-up crews...

Sad to think that we're just about done as a human race. How long until mother nature shakes us off like flies? BP doesn't care about stopping this leak, in fact I'm sure they wanted it to happen. They know once so much oil has leaked out and the Gulf is dead, they'll pay a pittance to those who lost their lives and way of life. Beaches, hotels and tourist areas will permanently close because of toxic death that now permeates the sand and will NEVER disperse. Oil companies will then have free range to drill and pollute the Gulf because marine life, fish, birds, and mammals will long be dead. BP has also sprayed so many millions of gallons of dispersant in the water, what the oil doesn't cover and kill, this toxic chemical will. Would you honestly want your kids to swim in a chemical soup or walk on cancer causing oil just below the sand? Oh yeah, don't forget to wear your respirator mask, the air will now kill you too.

the real problem is the MILLION GALLONS of toxic chemicals poured in by the spill, that when mixed with oil makes it far more toxic

this stuff will be raining down on louisiana, alabama, florida, and eventually up the east coast

sadly i think the gulf states might have to be evacuated eventually - that's 10 MILLION PEOPLE!

I live down here on the FL coast and you should see these poor guys out trying to clean up this mess. Steel toed boots, long pants, long shirts, then a plastic suit over all that. Its been like 95 degrees everyday, then factor in the heat index and its around 105.Its no wonder they are having a high turnover rate of workers.

                                            later

They had a guy on coast to coast last night saying that we are all fukked. The storms coming from the gulf is going to rain really bad stuff down onto our crops and fukk us all up.

never thought about that, oil getting hit by a hurricane, that would be bad news

but if obama had not sat around with his thumb in his ass for over a month and instead would have made a decisive decision- stop the oil leak - not control the oil leak so BP can still collect the oil

has even meet with hayward yet?
