Everybody I know with an iphone 3GS reports similar battery life but they do not have 4G data speed or a 4.3"display eating juice..
reports already coming out saying that iphone4 loses reception when you hold the phone because your hands block the antenna and wifi radio signals,and reports of yellow blotches on the screen.
If you want a toy with a nice camera get a iphone4.
If you are a person who needs internet access (gambler) get the EVO 4G. 4G data is as fast as my wifi at home, screen is easily viewable without constant pinch and zoom, and capable of viewing flash intensive websites which many online sportsbooks are.Comment -

This is IMO a very good comparison review of the iphone4 and the HTC EVO side by side, EVO smokes the iphone 4 in internet load times on both wi-fi and on 3g (check the attached video at 5:30) iphone 3g can't touch EVO 3g and would get smoked by EVO 4g. Battery life is a draw, screen and video recording go to the iphone4.
Speed and especially internet connectivity is all that matters to me, if you want speed the EVO is your phone.
If you want a pretty display and a good video recorder than the iphone is your phone.
Both are great devices it all comes down to what your needs in a phone are. I only care to inform people that just because a device is trendy does not mean that it is the only quality device of its kind.Comment -

I was driving to work today and I pass by the Mac store daily. At 5:00am there was a line around the block. People need their head examined to wait in line for this. I won't wait in line for anything, nothing in life is worth waiting more than a couple of minutes. I am getting the new Iphone but I will get it when I get around to it. As a sports bettor, when attempting to compare lines between 3 books 10 minutes before the start of the game I do not have time to wait for web pages to load and pinch and zooming on the screen EVO is faster on 3g network and twice as fast on 4g network.Originally posted by jjgold
Not sure about the stock market but as far as sports betting goes I would without a doubt go for the EVO's speed and easy to read screen paired with its ability to read FLASH based web pages like many books use, but I do realize that many do not see the importance in shopping for the best price and will just go straight to a book with a mobile web page.
