    go west high school quarterback
Getting two wins in a row with Atlanta wasn't enough for Joey Harrington to get the nod last week against Tampa Bay, but when the score got to be 24 - 0 in favor of Tampa, first year head coach Bobby Petrino put Joey back in to finish the 31-7 slaughter. In Philadelphia, back-up A.J. Feeley took over in the third quarter and led the Eagles to two scores in their 17-7 win over lowly Miami. In just the third start of his career, the Jets' Kellen Clemens led the team in the most surprising result of the week-end; a 19 - 16 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Meanwhile, in Baltimore, Cleveland's Derek Anderson threw for 284 yards in the Browns win over the Ravens. What is it that links all of these quarterbacks? They are all recent alums of oregon colleges. Feeley, Clemens, and Harrington are all Oregon Ducks, and Derek Anderson is an Oregon State Beaver. This many NFL quarterbacks coming out of these Oregon colleges suggests that these teams' coaches are terrific recruiters or have programs that develop great players . Whatever the reason, any young high school quarterback with an eye toward tossing the rock in the NFL can follow the Oregon Trail. p.s. to the Carolina Panthers: Please let former Oregon State Beaver Matt Moore have a shot at the q.b. spot this year so we can get 5 oregon guys in!!
