fantasy football and wagering don't mix
Hey gang, I was begged this year by a friend to be in his fantasy football league. I joined as a favor to him. I used to be in Fantasy Football leagues a couple years ago ,but once I started wagering on games I found that games and my FF players cloud my judgment. How so you ask. Well heres an example. lets say I love the Seahawks, but my FF opponent has Hassleback as his QB, I want the Seahawks to win and cover but not root for the QB. I've even passed on games cause my FF opponent has several players on the team I like to wager on. Fvck it this is my last FF year, next year I'm sticking to wagering ONLY! Do any FF players here have similar dilemmas??

I like FF and wagering because I know whats going on injury wise with players, I guess I could get it off a service but I get a lot of injury info from FF.

I am a HUGE FF player. I have played in mulitple leagues for several years. If you win FF, our league pays like $1k. I often have that on 1 game. Routing for your BET to win trumps FF success.

I guess it depends on the amounts at stake in each Happy Boy.

I too am in a league, and only do it because a bunch of my friends were getting away from their wives to knock down a few and have a draft. If I have $3K on the Bills, and Tom Brady is my fantasy quarterback in a league that pays $300 for first, I'm obviously rooting for the Bills through and through. I play for enough in my handicapping that fantasy teams have absolutely no bearing. I make sure my players are active, but often don't even know the results until the next week as I could care less about my opponents' scores. GL...

i know what your saying HB, but i only have one FF team that i care if i win, and even then its not much. me and some old friends have been playing for ten years, it started at 100 for the winner, now were up to 500. it would be nice to have the bragging rights amongst old friends and the extra 500, but i gamble way more than 500 during the season, so i would rather win those games, than beat my friends. i mainly try and play a bunch of fantasy sports and have multiple teams and try and have different players on all teams, that way i can keep up with injury reports and whos starting, whos probable, whos questionable, etc.
