The guy is still crazy with some of the stuff he does, I would like to see him do some stuff for a longer period, everything is for 1-2 days then he gets picked up, they should do one where they drop him in a desert for like a month and see how he fares, it would really put his survival techniques to the test.

His show and survivorman are both for informative in diff scenarios, both are a "joke". no kidding they arent really surviving

survivorman goes with a guide to plan each and every thing he does during the week... that is hardly "surviving". most weeks he kills nothing and leaves early most of the time. bear is more of an entertainment value along with some things you might use if you were stranded.

But he fails at showing you what to do to survive. Don't climb a ****ing tree to get a view of the land, you can't risk a fall for example.

It was presented as being much more real ( originally), then they got busted and put disclaimers on the screen. He was staying at hotels when it looked like he was in a cave.

Your exactly right Doug. I did a wilderness survival course in Temegami, northern Ontario. I survived and found my way out of the bush in 7 days. You don't want to put your body at risk under any circumstance. Laying on the forest floor with a broken leg after falling out of a tree is definitely not an ideal situation.
Also out are swimming across near frozen arctic rivers, fishing for catfish with your bare hands in alligator infested swamps, jumping from cliffs into unknown pools of water and climbing around under glaciers and mountains.
