The only real decsion they have it wether to resign Fisher - There's no "Choice" on Artest, as no one will really want to trade for him; Same goes for Odom - no one is going to trade for him - nor do the Lakers have the pieces to trade for a 'scoring' forward better than Odom.

Its all well and good to pretend to say what they do; but reality constricts what thier actual options are.

Best they can rally do is add maybe a MLE or a VE to the bench.

I dont see the lakers having any problems in the west seeing that most of the free agents are leaving/staying in the east.

With the free agents 1 new addition can shape the landscape of the nba. Look at what happen when gasol got signed everybody was trading from left to right when that happen.

If i was the Lakers I would look past the regular season and start seeing what I needed improvements in playoff wise.

Play Bynum 40 games during the regular season max, and let him the miss the first two rounds of the playoffs. He is too valuable for a championship run to be injured and having his knee drained every other game. Bynum is only 21, no way is he a force when he gets 30. Or put him in a sign and trade for either Bosh or Chris Paul, or better yet Darrin Collison.
