    Boston Celtics, What Next?
Boston needs to do some team rebuilding, the big three isn't getting any younger. KG is playing like he should be a sixth man instead of a starter, Ray Allen has consistency problems and Paul Pierce is not a franchise player anymore at this stage of his career.

There salary cap is nearly hitting the hard cap and it won't get any easier if they decide to extend Ray Allen's contract rather signing a new one for less money. KG will be making 18.8 million, P. Pierce will be making 21.5 million and R. Rondo 9 million(worth every penny) next year which will account for 49.3 million between them three not including Ray Allen's Salary if he decides to stay.

PLUS there draft pick, if they have any will be extremely late in the first round.

What's the next stop for Boston?

I thought those were just rumors. Garnett really retiring? And if they get some money and Amare doesn't resign then then he could be the perfect fit for rondo's style of play.

Its odd; they came within one win of another championship and everyone want to braeak them up

Bu really; it a tough decsion - Pierce isn't optioning out so hes back, I doubt KG retire so he's back, abvioulsy Rondo, Davis, Perk and Sheed all scheduled to be back.

It wont leave them with alot of cap room; they payroll will be ~50m vs a 55-57mil cap.

Seems they can try to talk Allen into taking say a two year deal, talk pierece (say 3/35) into a lesser deal after next year and try to make another run and prep for KG/Allen to come off the books after 2012 - eye a bif FA then ~
