Pedro Alvarez to Debut for Pirates vs Sox
#2 overall pick from the 2008 draft and big time power hitting prospect got the call up today for the buccos...

He'll be playing third and batting 6th.

Big day for Pirate Fans as this guy is evenly more highly touted then Andrew McCutcheon when he came up. And is the prob the most "sure thing" power prospect they've had in my lifetime.

He will give them the Power they've been missing from 3rd since they gave Aram away to the cubs....

Buccos will be a tough team to get a grasp on to bet on or against with this full fledged youth movement they got going on. I think I'll take a few more overs, as I see Walker, Tabata, and Alvarez giving this team a spark that they haven't had for quite some time.

Went the other way again Arch.

Danks has been decent and I'm gonna ride out the Pirates loss streak that now stands at 10.

I actually like the Red Sox RL as well tonight.

win streak is actually at 9

yeah i'm not touching this game tonight, just gonna watch it as a fan.....

its funny the pirates actually have first round picks at 5 of the 8 non pitcher positions tonight...

too bad Milledge and Crosby have come no where near reaching their potential, let alone matching their career bests this year...

glad to see Pirates bite the bullet and cute ties with Aki Iwamura, hopefully they get rid of Church here soon, when Pearce is healthy or Clement is ready to come back up....

I see a .241 11 hr 55 rbi rest of the season for Pedro

He will learn from last night that you can not take any plays/pitches off. I think the Bucs win tonight but have not pulled the trigger yet.

I love the lineup for the future.......can't wait to see if any of the hard throwers make it up sooner than expected and I might go to 2 games a year instead of one.
