I was part of a group that was to bring harness racing back to fairplex park Pomona. A group of investors put together by me and a close horseman friend had $10 million put aside. Our meeting with fairplex was successful, they were ready to welcome harness again, but Jim Perez scuttled the idea with negative thinking, and with Alan Horowitz destroyed any hope of bringing harness back to So cal. The horseman had no idea these negotiations were going, a well kept secret by the CHHA. We had a idea of creating our own Horseman's orgainzation to save the horseman, but the attorney advised waiting this thing out.
