I make it a week now. Just wondered how the nail is doing. I tried Kava several years ago in my fight against insomnia. It was touted as a natural herbal relaxant. It came in pill form, though, nothing to smoke. Got it at GNC. Screwed around with it for a while. Took 150% of the recommended dose once and got a mild sense of relaxation out of it. Like drinking 2 beers or so. I read somewhere that there was a study linking Kava to possible liver problems and decided I was not getting enough benefit from it to risk taking it routinely.Originally posted by picoman

I moved on to melatonin and have been very happy with that. Just 1 ** before bed and I sleep pretty darn good. The guy who recommended melatonin to me takes 3 **. I tried 2 ** once and felt somewhat motion sick. So, if you are going to try it, I recommend starting slowly.
