    Why doesn't horse racing eliminate the "added weight" factor
    As a fan of the sport I want to see who the fastest horse is and not have to wonder is this one faster cause its carrying 8lbs less. What should that have to do with anything?

    I understand they have it to even out things handicapping wise but lets face it, prices are prices and value is value. Zenyatta's owner mentioned the extra weight with her having to carry may have been a slight problem. That is so dumb. Extra weight? Can you imagine a sprinter putting on 5lb ankle weights? As dumb as that sounds

    I want to see who the fastest horse is not the fastest carrying extra weight.
