Guy should seriously strike while the iron is hot and go tout, he would have a huge following.

What would be the advantage to the Lakers winning? If I had full control over what the refs do and I was bent on making the series go as long as possible, I'd let the refs be or shade a little toward Boston.

at this point i dont think the league cares. lakers are the better team, i could see them winning in 6. probably a no play for me though....

when there is gambling involved and an easy way to steal money off of clueless people, the league will always care.

I agree. If the league wants this to go as many games as possible they would shade toward Boston. That gives them a 3-2 lead with 2 games in LA. Otherwise, if you had LA win tonight they would have the 3-2 lead and would have a likelier win in the next game to make the final 4-2.

I think they will call this game fairly. The team that goes down 3-2 will get the calls in game 6.

Are you accusing NBA higher-ups of gambling on their own league?

That said, the line moved from 3.5 at its highest I think it was to 2, so the books didn't want a bunch of Laker money.
