Coach Childress fuming,Adrian Peterson Day=no Adrian at mini camp.
Adrian Peterson's hometown of Palestine,Texas started an Adrian Peterson Day 3 years ago and it always falls on the weekend of mandatory Vikings mini camp.First of all,the guy was 22 when they threw the first one.Aren't you supposed to be like retired before they even throw you a one and only day in your honor?Talk about a massive ego trip getting a day in your honor for the rest of your life starting at 22.Then if it interferes with you doing the task at hand and becoming a more famous player by gaining more knowlege by attending practice, that's stranger yet.Does anyone blame Childress for being rip snorting mad over the whole thing? What would Lombardi,Ditka or Bill Parcels have done in this situation????My hunch is that they would have been up on murder charges.

They should suspend him one game.

      Show your the boss Childress.

Adrian has fumble problems and should be at camp.

Childress isn't happy that's for sure. Peterson might want to work on hanging on to the damn ball and attend mandatory mini camp. Palestine, TX can always pick another day for AP day.

Not that I agree with him missing practice. But com'mon, their starting QB didn't participate in camp at all last year and hasn't even shown his teammates the courtesy of letting them know if he will play this season. For him to get his panties in a bunch over one day seems a bit contradictory. Maybe its because AP is black?

Childress shouldn't be mad at anyone but Brett Freakin Favre. AP misses OTA the world comes to an end, Farve misses and it is no big deal. That is not a team. It is a sweatshop. Why have team rules? Or maybe a coach can only be upset if a player is committed to play. Obviously Favre is not. There is an old saying that is backwards as hell but fits. "Keep the sorry horse in the barn to protect him, and keep the good horse in the field to kill him."
