Anyone ever break an expensive tv because of losing a bet?

They have this place called the Brit pub in Minneapolis where 100's of English ex pats assembled yesterday to watch the game.A guy was so ticked off about the tie that he hurled a beer bottle at a pretty expensive tv and broke it up.Word has it that Best Buy headquartered in the twin cities will make good on comping the bar a new tv.I guess that gets the guy off the hook.


Anyone else ever break their own tv or a tv in a public place because of a bet-game going sour?

No because I already lost money, why lose more when I have to guy buy another 3000 dollar tv

came close a few times in my early gambling years, lost a few remotes and other household items....

I don't watch 90% of the games I bet now. I watch the ones I would watch for entertainment anyways... ie ncaa tourney games, some buccos, cubs, sox games. just about any NFL game. nba and nhl playoff games...

Surprisingly haven't broke my tv yet. Chucked my iPod at it pretty damn hard when the Braves blew their three run lead Wednesday or Thursday night. Didn't do any damage fortunately though.

A friend texted me earlier to say that he's at a pub in England and some random picked up a chair and threw it at a pinball machine when Green let in the goal. Funny part is they were watching the match on replay.

Yes, a beer bottle through the big screen on one of Mike Tyson's fights. I don't remember the bet or the dollar amount now. Had a few people over too, it killed the party.
