OT: Hank (JJ), You're 41 Now, and It's Time to Set Some Goals
    Hey Hank (JJ),

Your telephone # is out of commission, and there's no way to reach you via e-mail, so I have to reach you this way. Your swings lately have been heavier than ever, and I'm thrilled you had a good week this past week. However, I think it's time at your age to set some reasonable goals for yourself as opposed to wandering around aimlessly. Here are three very attainable goals I'd like to see you reach by age 45:

    #1) Get a steady job.
Not another one where you give it your all for two months and then burn out, but one where you can enjoy and sustain. You might want to look into more thriving cities economically, but then again the support your parents give you in Newark is nice too. While starting salary is important, I would give an edge to likability as we know you won't stay if you don't like it. Don't undermine benefits and company 401K matching either.

#2) Develop a personal nest egg of $100K.
If you can exceed this, or get the opportunity to diversify into other currencies or metals, that's even better. However, it's time to start gaining a little wealth and to be prepared for later in life.

#3) Get Hitched. I know this one will surprise and even scare you, but it's time to start thinking in that direction. Some people can maintain as lifelong bachelors, but I think you're in dire need of the stability and forced responsibility that a long-term relationship carries with it. I would strongly urge you not to date a girl who is involved with gambling in any way, shape, or form.

Old buddy I really think these three suggestions could put you in an entirely different place in life by age 45 (four years from now). I know you don't like self-improvement suggestions posted on the public forums, but you're starting to get older and it's time to value factors that bring future stability. GL and I hope you'll take these suggestions the right way mate....

Still plenty games left to play, no time for setting goals. At least no time to accomplish them, I set goals when I'm bored then forget about them.

I am trying to get my satellite phone hooked up, it is a pain in the ass to go on roof and get it pointed in the right direction.

100K? Impossible, I am in the hole for almost that much.

        Marriage? Forget it, to heavy

Well so much for that. We tried Happy Boy, but you're probably right about this being old advice.

Hanky you seem really afraid of responsibility of any kind. Just think once more about what I'm saying. There's advantages to both sides, and you may have the system beat after all. Do your parents charge you rent of any kind? If not, that obviously makes it easier to get by with substantially less costs involved (and without the necessity for additional income). Cheers...

Health should be first on that list.

JJ should get healthy, mind, body and whatever is left of his soul.

I hear hospital visits are expensive and if you keep stressing your self out and eating garbage u will have a heart attack and be in debt for another 100K when u get outta the hospital.

My advice...take an hour out of each day to go for a walk. Use this time to reflect, make a to do list or set some goals.
