    WTF is STATEFARM??
Why everytime I play MLB 2k9 I need to see an Statefarm add while I am changing from inning.

Who puts ad's on video games, this is insane.

Why will they advertise something on the US to someone outside the US

    That is crazy

Why will the put an insurance company ad within a videogame??

        They also got Pepsi ad's

Does StateFarm and Pepsi are Major MLB sponsors? Or the programmers likes pepsi more than cocacola?

don't listen to these guys, they're just screwing with you. every state in the usa is responsible for providing beef/chicken/fish/fruits/vegetables to all of its' residents. 'State Farm' is the collective name of the industry that governs each individual state, to make sure that each state is using top quality control, in order to ensure that its' citizens don't get sick and die and stuff

State Farm is one of the largest gambling syndicates in the U.S. They take wagers on whether people will be injured or killed in car accidents. They typically have about a 30% hold on most of their bets (they offer a few other markets as well).

Hence, "bet the farm"; originally the saying was "you smell like a barnyard, go bet the farm" - meaning "enough with bullshit, take your big mouth to State Farm" ... the meaning has changed a little over the years, probably because it pissed off the brass at State Farm.
