Just picked up some Charleston Chews

Holy shit does this take me back to my childhood... was grocery shopping this morning and saw them.... haven't had one in 15+ years...

does it taste as good now as you remember it used to? i try to stay away from revisiting childhood treats - they never seem to be as cool now as they were then. kinda like watching the 80s he-man cartoons (yah, i bought the dvd box set); they're just not as cool as they were back then. i saw a box of frankenberry cereal at the store a little while back, and had to buy a box, because it was a favorite of mine as a kid. wasn't really anything special now - still prefer my lucky charms, heh.

have not had them yet....put them in the fridge so they get extra chewey... I remember my brother and I always begging my mom for a dollar when she dropped us off at the city pool so we could get a chew during rest period.. ahhhh the simple pleasures.

Those are my absolute favourite candy from back home. Before I moved to the States, each time I drove over the border from Canada I'd buy 2 boxes of them from Target and inhale them in like 3 days. Strawberry ones first. I'm honestly homesick now.

refrigerator is great, but a few in the freezer is never a bad idea either.
