    SBR Points rake??
In my points log today, I noticed a -1 with type = "Rake"! (it came off of someone's point donation) What the @$#! ????

Why is there any rake on points?! They don't "cost" SBR anything as they are just a retention marketing tool! That's like Starbucks saying that w/ every fourth purchase you get a free small coffee BUT then we pour a little of it out. What is the point of this?!!?!

Think they should have a point rebate for the casino.

Transaction Type "Rake" equals a 1% Transaction fee. This fees is charged on all poster to poster transfers.

Its like a transfer fee and at 1% its reasonable. There is no fee to transfer to and from the SBR sportsbook, casino, racebook, lotto, poker, ect. But yea, points sent outside of SBR properties will pay a small toll.

It was invented to limit individual poster booking and loans to other posters. It did a good job so far. The drawback was the points book is losing points now since the casino has not a very good reputation in payouts. But the SBR special bets were invented where people are suckered in and bet above their heads and don't use bankroll management. SBR is operating like a real sportsbook. They are always one step ahead of the posters. So use your judgement with what you want to do with your points. This place is not forcing you to use your points.

Okay, but sorry, I still don't understand why this "charge" exists. If one SBR poster decides to donate 7 SBR points to another poster for a solid post, or for whatever reason, why must any be removed? They are not actual money anyway, they are a Rewards Program Customer Retention tool!!

It's like Delta Airlines removing a % of your SkyMiles... Starbucks pouring out a little coffee... Borders Books giving you 20% off every 5th purchase, but then ripping out a few pages from the front of the book. It doesn't actually BENEFIT SBR, does it?? So why then? What am I missing? I want to understand how this makes sense, that's all, I'd be happy to hear it, thanks.

You posted this while I was writing my last one -- thanks, Pavs, this makes some more sense to me now.

I received 50 points and was debited for 2 points rake. 2 points is more like 4% than the stated 1%.

Look at your point history. It looks like you won a contest and SBR transfered 75 points to you. Then you transfered 75 points to someone else. Then someone else transfered you 50 points today. This is 200 points worth of transfers hence the 1% rake for 2 points charged.
