Dwan had more than recouped his 2009 losses in the first few months of 2010; he was reported to have won $1.6 million in the first two weeks of April 2010 alone, and after a session in which he won $1.6 million off Sahamies in a little over 2 hours, was up $7.3 million for the year to date as of April 21.However, in an illustration of the swings of fortune often associated with high-stakes play, Dwan lost about $4 million in the next three weeks, leaving him up about $3.3 million for 2010.[15]

This kid is making millions online and promoting it and we have a few around here that are worried about cashing out $1,500 or less, as they think they may possibly get in trouble with the law in someway..........

I used to watch him on full tilt I believe. They would exchange about 10-15 grand every hand at the minimum. Then sometimes you'd see hands around 200K. It was pretty ridiculous. there would be about 3 of them in a room. IF one guy lost all the money he had on the table, he'd re-cash back in with about 50k

The kid must be a prince with all his fukin money. He's been around a few years that I know of. Where the fuk does a kid get this kind of starting bankroll? No way he started out grinding the .05-.10 cent NL game.

In March 2004 at the age of 17, Dwan began playing online poker at Paradise Poker with $50 his father had given him for his 17th birthday. He believed the alias durrrr would put players on tilt if they lost to him. Dwan initially focused on $6 sit-and-go tournaments and ended up losing $35. With his last $15, he continued to focus on these sit-and-gos until he was able to turn profit. After finding he could beat these games, he turned to cash games where he built his bankroll starting at low stakes and slowly climbed his way to the largest games found online. After beating multiplayer cash games, Dwan switched his focus to playing heads-up No Limit hold 'em against other professionals such as Frederick Halling at the $10/$20 stakes level. He challenged Prahlad Friedman at $25/$50 stakes and lost to him for several months, forcing him to drop to lower stakes before coming back again and again until he was able to beat Friedman.[6]
According to HighStakesDB.com, a site that tracks high-stakes online poker action, Dwan earned $312,000 on Full Tilt in 2007 and $5.41 million in 2008

Impressive research Fishhead. I watch this guy play and he has NO FEAR of losing millions. How can you read a guy like this?

This means nothing really halfway through the year. The variance in at nosebleed stakes games is very high. He is still a winning player but not as much as the results imply. Almost none of the players at nosebleeds are properly rolled and almost all take pieces of each other, are backed or pad their bankroll via site sponsorship. The edges are thin and the money comes from whales who inject it into the game with a small % coming from shot takers.
Reading a player is a small factor overall. It's all about the math. To be successful you don't consider the money on the table but think in terms of bets. Remember that he also has to pay taxes on his income as well so he's not a prince. He lives well but there are tons of IB,corporates, VCs, entrepreneurs who live better than him.

Cash. Picked up $200 at a $2-$5 table and then they opened a new $5-$10 table and made the rest there. Worked it up to $1700 and got tired and gave $200 back then called it a night.
Was thinking about heading to Tampa this afternoon, never been to the Hard Rock but depends. May just head back to Ocala.
JJ, SBR should hold a poker tournament here once it's up and running and send a represenative to the WSOP next year. Decked out in SBR gear would make for some great exposure.

Just send JJ gold. The exposure from him spindling Doyle Brunson alone is worth the tournament fee.

he has huge prop bets on winning a bracelet...rumor is if he won the nl event instead of winning 2nd place he would have basically "won the main event" as eric seidel said. the estimated worth of winning a bracelet for durrr is around 6-7 million.
