Why are BEER ads allowed on TV and not CIGS?

that use to always piss me off so bad because in TN you can buy beer until 3am. By 9:00 I haven't even decided if I want any liquor yet and stop to get beer on the way home from the bar

yeah and what if you want liquor on sunday? shit outta luck they can't open cuz of some old-time conservative crap laws.

in VA you gotta plan your drinking early, which for drunks is difficult to do. those fukks!!!

i think its because there are hardly any cases of moderate, safe smoking, while the vast majority of beer drinkers do engage in safe, moderate drinking. let me add, I smoke and i feel like a fvcking idiot every time i fire up.

I'm guessing these laws where enacted before people had household refrigerators and had to actually buy the beer the time they wanted to consume it so by banning it on Sundays they would force people to go to church instead because no one likes a drunk guy sitting next to your pew.
