at least he was kind enough to give warning to the catcher in the midst of his massive tirade.

You believe in it, you are loyal to it, would defend it, and yet have no proof of it, other than that, at one point or another, you chose to believe in it. Self-hypnosis. What if there were a snapping of fingers that broke the hypnosis?

Brooklyn Cyclones
"The Brooklyn Cyclones are a minor league baseball team in the Short-Season A classification New York - Penn League, affiliated with the New York Mets. The Cyclones play at MCU Park just off the Coney Island boardwalk in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. In its entire franchise history, the team has won seven division titles. In 2001, the Cyclones were declared co-league champions with the Williamsport Crosscutters, being forced to prematurely end their championship series due to the September 11 attacks."

reminiscent of the minor league manager that took the bases, and crawled around like he was in a war and threw the rosin bag like a grenade at the umpire

WAS supposed to be the manager of the Dbacks...but his past came back to bite him in the ass
Nov 5th, 2004...
D-Backs Bounce Wally Backman Rap sheet helps sink manager after four days on job
NOVEMBER 5--Just when we thought nobody could do a worse job handling background checks than reality TV producers, along comes the Arizona Diamondbacks. The baseball club today fired manager Wally Backman--four days after hiring him--after press reports revealed that Backman had been arrested twice and filed for bankruptcy last year. Diamondbacks brass admitted that they did not conduct background checks on Backman nor did they ask him about possible criminal or financial problems in his recent past. Along with a 2000 drunk driving bust (for which he pleaded guilty), Backman was indicted in October 2001 for assaulting his wife and one of her friends during a dispute in the family's Oregon home. In December 2002, Backman pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor harassment count and was directed to attend anger control classes, pay a $1000 fine, and ordered not to drink to excess (specifically beyond the state's .08 limit). Backman is pictured below in a mug shot snapped by the Crook County Sheriff's Office, whose deputies popped him for the domestic abuse rap. (4 pages)
