    BP a $10 stock soon?
The falling knife that is BP stock looks as if it was dropped from the Moon as it continues to lose market share.Interesting
to speculate when the leak will be capped with colateral damagae already being do to fragile life forms in the Gulf.Price action in this name is awful and will continue to be awful until the leak is capped but the lure of a divindend that might be in trouble continues to draw investors. One thing I can tell you when this leak is capped their will be a 30% to the upside lest we dare stay in.

highly doubtful. Doubt it breaks $20. Buying tomorrow. Panic > Greed, but that never lasts on the Street.

LOL. I'm buying the fvck out of their bonds. In 6 months there will be no trace of oil in the Gulf and all of BP's securities will be higher. Bank on it.

couldn't any fine that is imposed on BP just be handed down to consumers by raising oil prices?

I may have to look at buying some BP shortly...

if you are guys are thinking of buying BP, what do you think execs at other oil companies are thinking?

how low before it becomes a take-over target?

They would fight any takeover attempt in the 30's or 40's....1,000,000% chance of that.

Its just one of those deals. Its terrible but it will have no long term effect on BP. Their total liability is $75m although they will pay out around $2 billion. $2B is a drop in the bucket for this heavyweight... Buy

I woundent say it's a take over target because their is inherent risk involve with this spill long after it's cleaned up their will be lawsuits dragging out. Also I would like to take a big position with the common stock but I have a feeling the dividend will be cut.

they make 7.5 billion a quarter, and you think this is gonna stop them...so what if they aren't profitable for 5 years... big deal, btw, its very unlikely

they have lost half their value and still falling id wait to see how much they have to pay out in fines and cleanup and whatever before buying any bonds they might need a bailout
