Is giving sportsbooks access to your bank account safe?
Got an email from Matchbook.com in regards to a new deposit method, giving them access to your bank account similar to online bill pay.

I have no problem giving reputable US companies access to my bank account for utility bill payments and the like, but what about a bunch of people making minimum wage in Costa Rica (i.e. Matchbook clerks)? Would you do it?

        Dear Valued Customer,

As a trusted and valuable Matchbook customer, we can offer you processing options that are not generally available to all of our users. These options are now available through the cashier section of your account.

Our NEW deposit option is Direct Deposit.

o Direct Deposit is available to players with access to online banking. You can then use the bill payment option to fund your account in approx. 7-10 business days – it’s just like paying a utility bill online. None of your personal financial data is shared with the merchant and the funds are securely transferred from your bank account to our processors bank account.

We also have two NEW withdrawal options available. These are Bank Wire withdrawal and Bank Draft withdrawal.

o Bank Wire withdrawals are available to a maximum of $5,000 per wire.
o Bank Draft withdrawals are available to a maximum of $3,000 and are sent to the customer by courier.

These are available directly to you from the Cashier Option of your Matchbook.com account.

If you would like any other information on these processing options, please don’t hesitate contact us by live chat (via our contact us page) or email us at accounts@matchbook.com. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

        Kind regards,

        Matchbook Accounts
