Almost all ESPN Fan Zone eateries are closing.Any good?
A guy on ABC news just reported that almost all ESPN Fan zone restaurants will be closing. He said it's the worst climate for restaurant ownership in 30 years. The mom and pop bars, grills and cafes have been dropping like flies whereI live.Even the the great deal places like Old Country buffets have little business.Anyone live near a CICI's Italian buffet for under $5 or a Golden Corral Buffet where they throw in steak and shrimp for under $10?If these places are having hard times,we must be in a depression.

I used to go to the Mega Mall alot and all the Planet Hollywood hyped up theme places got their start there. They all went bust.I have a hunch the ESPN one's were all hype and high prices for average food too where that novelty wore off fast.

It was way overpriced and the food wasn't anything special. They did have TV's in the bathroom though

old country buffet has steak too, at least the one by me does
golden corral's steak is better but i go to old country buffet more often because of their coupon deals

no reason to cook at home any more, when eating out keeps getting cheaper. applebee's kids eat free monday-wednesday, perkins/dennys kids eat free tuesday/saturday, etc etc

Had a beer at an ESPN shop near Times Square, never have eaten any of their food. Queen Bee and I only dine out once a week and do our best to stay away from any chain places, choosing to support the local mom & pop shops. Best thing is there are several in this area that are on good financial ground and have never gotten their beer or liquor licenses, so they are BYOB which saves a good 40%-50% of a dinner tab for us.

If they had a tote betting window it would do well

              wow willie that's crazy

here if a restaurant doesn't have a liquor license you can't drink there whether you bring it yourself or not
and i have never been to a restaurant that is byob, that's pretty cool

here in milwaukee you'd have more than a couple drunks in a place like that

Shit is way overpriced. Food is average at best. How can you compete when hooters has 5.99 wingsday wednesdays and some burger deal on monday too. Plus the view is slighty better at hooters.

Overpriced and average food about sums it up. Ate at one in Batlimore and wasn't very impressed.

The atmosphere is awesome as someone said there are tvs in the bathrooms, in the urinals so thats cool. You can find any game on in the world there and there are huge tvs everywhere. But a few people said they food is average and is at least $20 per plate. The food is way to expensive.

pretty much man. If youre going with just two its gonna run you at least $40, if you want a beer...$50. Like i said, its a great atmosphere thought they have an adult sports arcade which is awesome so its worth it to go every once in a while. Just not all of the time.
